अंधे को आंख देत सब दीक्षा। पावे ज्ञान बुद्धि परवीक्षा॥

मूढ़ ललाट दुख पावे जब ही। शरण तुम्हारे आवे तब ही॥

करहुं कृपा तुम दीन जन जानो। दीनबंधु हरि मन बिसराओ॥

जो जन मन से तुमको ध्यावे। तिह घर मंगल सदा समावे॥

श्री गणेश जब नाम उचारे। दुष्ट दैत्य भी सब संहारे॥

विघ्न हरण मंगल करणं। श्री गणेश चरनं सरणं॥

भक्तन के तुम कष्ट निवारो। दास जनन के दोष पखारो॥

तुमको जो जन ध्यान लगावे। सोई सुख आनंद नित पावे॥

विद्या बुद्धि धन वैभव दाता। सबही तुम्हरे चरणन माता॥

सकल सिद्धि कर देत हो तुम। सकल सिद्धि पूरण करत हो तुम॥

शस्त्र अस्त्र सब धरते तुम। विघ्न हारी हो तुम दयालु तुम॥

तुम सब लोकन के आधारो। सबही जनन के प्रिय प्यारो॥

तुम्हरे सुमिरन से दुख भागे। शत्रु भी भय से तब जागे॥

ऋद्धि सिद्धि तुम संग विराजे। सबही कारज तुम बिनु गाजे॥

जब जब देव संकटा आवे। तब तब तुमहीं रक्षा पावे॥

प्रथम पूज्य तुम सब देवन के। देवर्षि नारद के मन के॥

पार्वती शंकर के प्यारे। शिव पुत्र तुम नाम न्यारे॥

शंभासुर जब युद्ध करा। तब तुम दैत्य दल संहारा॥

देव मुनि तब स्तुति किनी। तुमही कृपा तब सबको दीनी॥

जप तप यज्ञ व्रत पूजा। तुम बिन होय न दूजा॥

तुम सब देवन के स्वामी। तुमही अंतरयामी नामी॥

Meaning & Translation

Verse 0
Hail to Ganpati, the abode of all virtues, the one with a benevolent face, the remover of obstacles. An ocean of compassion, beautiful and wise, the bestower of auspiciousness and welfare.
Verse 1
Hail, hail, hail to Lord Ganpati! The one who fills with auspiciousness and accomplishes good deeds.
Verse 2
Hail to the elephant-faced one, the giver of happiness to all. The Lord of the universe, the bestower of intellect.
Verse 3
With a curved trunk, pure and pleasing, a three-lined mark (tilak) on the forehead, enchanting to the mind.
Verse 4
Adorned with a necklace of jewels and pearls on the chest. A large golden crown on His head.
Verse 5
Holding a book, axe, and trident in His hands. Offering of Modak and fragrant flowers.
Verse 6
His body adorned with beautiful yellow garments. His sacred, bright forehead shines brightly in the mind.
Verse 7
Before Him sit both Siddhi and Riddhi (His consorts, representing accomplishment and prosperity). They remove obstacles and perform auspicious deeds.
Verse 8
O Lord Ganesha, the auspicious treasure. Gods, humans, and sages all serve You.
Verse 9
Punita (the devotee) says, hear my Lord. You reign in all ten directions, O Lord.
Verse 10
You destroy all sorrow and poverty. You fulfill the hopes of Your devotees.
Verse 11
Whoever chants Your name. Attains all accomplishments and happiness.
Verse 12
Whoever comes under Your refuge. Surely achieves all their desires.
Verse 13
The childless who meditate on You daily. Attain children and Goddess Lakshmi comes to their home.
Verse 14
You grant sight to the blind and all enlightenment. One gains knowledge and keen intellect.
Verse 15
When a foolish person suffers. They immediately come to Your refuge.
Verse 16
Show compassion, knowing us to be humble devotees. O Friend of the poor, Lord, do not forget us.
Verse 17
The person who meditates on You with a pure heart. Auspiciousness always dwells in their home.
Verse 18
When the name of Shri Ganesha is uttered. All wicked demons are destroyed.
Verse 19
Remover of obstacles, bestower of auspiciousness. I take refuge at the feet of Shri Ganesha.
Verse 20
You alleviate the troubles of devotees. You wash away the sins of Your servants.
Verse 21
Whoever meditates on You. Always attains happiness and bliss.
Verse 22
You are the giver of knowledge, wisdom, wealth, and prosperity. All are born from Your feet, Mother (here addressing Ganesha as the origin of all).
Verse 23
You grant all accomplishments. You fulfill all achievements.
Verse 24
You wield all weapons and arms. You are the remover of obstacles, You are compassionate.
Verse 25
You serve Shri Mahalakshmi. You captivate the hearts of Shiva and Parvati.

Gods and sages praise You. You remove the troubles of devotees.
Verse 27
Whoever remembers Shri Ganesha. He removes obstacles and bestows good fortune.

You are the support of all worlds. You are dear and beloved to all beings.
Verse 29
By remembering You, sorrow flees. Even enemies awaken with fear.
Verse 30
Riddhi and Siddhi reside with You. No work can be accomplished without You.
Verse 31
Whenever the gods face distress. Then and there, they find protection from You.
Verse 32
Remover of obstacles, bestower of auspiciousness. I take refuge at the feet of Shri Ganesha.

You are the first to be worshipped among all gods. You are in the heart of Devarshi Narada.

Beloved of Parvati and Shankar. O Son of Shiva, Your name is unique.

When Shambhasura waged war. Then You destroyed the army of demons.

Then gods and sages praised You. You then bestowed grace upon everyone.

Chanting, penance, sacrifices, vows, worship. Nothing else can be done without You.

You are the Lord of all gods. You are the renowned inner self of all beings.

By remembering You, everything is accomplished. Obstacles are removed, and one receives the desired results.

Whoever reads this Chalisa. Attains all accomplishments and happiness.
