Verse 1
I bow to Vishnu, who is peaceful in appearance, who rests on the great serpent (Sheshnaga), from whose navel springs the lotus (Brahma's seat), who is the Lord of the gods. He is the support of the universe, pervasive like the sky, with the color of a cloud, and possessing auspicious limbs. He is the consort of Lakshmi, with lotus-like eyes, approachable by yogis through meditation. I bow to that Vishnu, who removes the fear of worldly existence and is the one Lord of all worlds.
